What is a ventilator?

Ventilators are medical devices that provide breathing (breath-producing) by sending a controlled flow of gas to the patient's airways. Ventilator devices provide intermittent inflation of the lungs by creating generally positive pressure gas flows according to the preset settings, thus correcting the impaired gas exchange.

What is a Defibrillator Device?

The defibrillator device is an electro-shock device that aims to return the heart to normal sinus rhythm and delivers a short continuous high-value current to the heart in vital situations such as cardiac arrest (asystole) or abnormal beat (such as fibrillation). The defibrillator device also monitors the movement of the heart.

Nutrition Pump

Enteral nutrition is an alternative nutrition type for patients who have a functional digestive system but cannot take the amount of food they need daily. The feeding pump allows nutrients to be delivered through a tube from the nose, mouth, trachea, into the stomach or small intestine. The device used to perform this operation is called an enteral nutrition pump.

What is Blood and Serum Warmer?

It is used to eliminate the danger of hypothermia that the patient may experience during transfusion and infusion procedures. It ensures that the liquids to be given to the patient reach the desired temperature in a controlled manner. The blood and serum heater is a device that allows the fluids given to the patient to be heated and applied in order to eliminate the risk of hypothermia that may occur during the transfusion and infusion procedures.

Surgical Aspirator

Aspirator Devices can be defined as a vacuum device for drawing liquid/particle with negative pressure created with the help of a motor (vacuum pump). Aspirators usually use a Piston-cylinder structure or a rotary type Vacuum Pump. In the aspirator, the scaled glass jar, the mouth of the jar is closed with a specially made airtight rubber cap that can be removed if desired. Liquid and foreign substances accumulating in the body cavities of the patient with the connection hoses and aspiration probe are transferred into the jar by passing through the holes on the rubber cap with the help of the metal parts at the ends. There is also a manometer on the aspirator device that shows the vacuum (negative pressure) level.

Pain Pump

The pain pump is the device used when the patient wants to take the painkillers automatically and when the patient is in pain. The PCA pain pump allows the patient to self-medicate when needed.

What is capnography?

Capnography is the measurement of CO2 obtained during exhalation. The value found is shown as millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) or percent (%) CO2. Capnography presents a waveform that monitors the CO2 produced by exhaling the wearer. The device that makes this measurement is called a capnograph. The waveform displayed by the capnograph is called a capnogram. End-tidal CO2 (EtCO2) is the partial pressure of CO2 that occurs in the breath at the end of expiration and is usually 38 mmHg or %5. The device that makes this measurement is called a capnometer. The measurement of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide from the airway during breathing is called capnography. Although capnography has been used for many years during anesthesia, its use in emergency services has taken time. The use of capnography technology in emergency services has been thanks to the small, ergonomic devices produced by the new generation technologies.

What is a pulse oximeter?

It is the device that measures the heart rate in the easiest and fastest way, and also records the measured heart rate. This measurement measures the oxygen saturation in the blood. Oxygen saturation is the ratio of hemoglobin bound to oxygen in the blood to total hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is respiratory pigments that carry oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissues to the respiratory organ in the blood. Pulse oximetry is a device that measures the ratio of hemoglobin bound to oxygen in the blood to total hemoglobin and displays it as a percentage on its screen and simultaneously displays the pulse rate.
