What are the types of dowels?

1) Hammered Dowel
Hammered Dowels are mounted on concrete materials and hold securely and provide a homogeneous fixation with the conical part on it. Two-stage assembly is done. In other words, during assembly, the dowel is first driven into the hole, and then it is turned with a bolt, ensuring that the sleeve is attached to the hole in the hole. 2) Suspended Ceiling Anchor

3) Heavy Load Anchor
This dowel has high durability and can be easily preferred for secure connections. It is used with hexagon head bolt. With the tightening of the nut or bolt, the conical part at the end of the sleeve moves upwards and thus ensures that the sleeve is held firmly in the hole. Installation of this dowel is done in two stages. After the dowel is placed in the hole, the bolt is passed through the part to be fixed, then it should be pushed forward and rotated so that the conical part at the end of the dowel is placed on the screwed part inside, and this part should be pulled upwards. The fastening screw of this dowel can be unscrewed and re-fixed multiple times. It is coated with zinc to be resistant to corrosion.
4) S Type Dowel
Can be used with studs or bolts. This dowel has high tensile strength. When using, it should be used considering the length of the bolt and the length of the nut and washer in the studs. It is coated with zinc to be resistant to corrosion.

5) Clip-on Dowel
It is a dowel that provides fast and practical assembly. The quality of the concrete to which the clip-on dowel will be mounted must be at least C20/25. The drill diameter and the dowel diameter are the same. When the nut is turned, the ring at the end of the dowel begins to open and begins to hold in the hole. It is coated with zinc against corrosion (5-8 micron). Clip-on dowels are used where concrete quality is good. It has good durability in suspended loads. Clip-on dowels are used to fix middle class weights. Some types of clip-on dowels, which are generally used in non-cracked concrete, are also suitable for use in cracked concrete.

6) Pull Dowel
Can be used with bolts or studs. It is a dowel with high tensile strength, which, when placed in the hole, clings by separating due to the slits on it and does not rotate.

7) Bolted Tubular Dowel
This type of dowel is preferred where the concrete quality is low. The sleeve on it is made of pipe. It is coated with zinc in order to be resistant to corrosion.
8) Shirt Anchor
It is used at medium loads and where concrete quality is low. It can be used easily in vibrating areas and short holes. It is used for the fastening element that is desired to be mounted on the walls in the form of filling and concrete.
9) Hooked Dowel
The tip of this dowel type, which can be used at low loads and in short holes, is in the form of a hook. It can be used in vibrating areas.
10) Case Anchor
It is a type of dowel used for fixing the safes to the wall in doors and windows. It has high strength in lateral forces. It can be used in hollow places, perforated bricks and concrete.
11) Aerated Concrete Anchor
They are plastic dowels made to be used on aerated concrete surfaces. It is in a spiral form. It is mounted for the use of thermal insulation materials on aerated concrete surfaces. It is used to connect exterior thermal insulation materials to thermal insulation materials.
12) Winged Drywall Anchor
It is a dowel used for fixing light parts to hollow materials or drywall. Special wing structure provides a secure connection. It is fixed in place with a wood screw of suitable size.
13) Plastic Dowel
It is an inexpensive type of dowel applied to all kinds of main materials. Drill bit and screw should be used according to the size of the dowel.
14) Chemical Anchor
It is a dowel resistant to sudden loads, which can be used in high-strength places, in wet and vibrating areas. Chemical anchors can be found in glass capsules or plastic foil. When purchasing these dowels, attention should be paid to their expiration dates. Expired chemical anchors may not give the desired performance and may cause some dangers. Glass tube chemical anchors consist of two nested glass tubes. While these tubes are driven into the concrete, they break and mix with each other and allow the fixing of the chemical anchor rod inside the hole.
